Thank you for your interest in joining our Volunteer team at the Chicago Botanic Garden!

Our volunteers help the Garden grow in a variety of areas including:

• Horticulture
• Weekend watering
• Special events
• Farm on Ogden
• Model Railroad Garden
• And more!

Please note that the Chicago Botanic Garden does not have opportunities for the following:

• Group
• Children or Youth, all volunteers must be at least 16 years old
• Court-ordered community service
• Garden gift shop
• Garden View Café
• One-time or drop-in volunteer opportunities, except for corporate volunteers

As part of our application process the Chicago Botanic Garden requires the following:

• A time commitment of 30 hours per year to maintain active volunteer status
• Background checks for ALL Chicago Botanic Garden volunteers
• Use of our online volunteer management system for signing up for opportunities and recording hours
• Signed Non-Discrimination, and Affirmative Action Policy Title IX, Anti-Harassment & Anti-Retaliation Policies Code of Conduct waiver
